Bodnitho

A large self catering farmhouse for up to 12 people set in gorgeous countryside on the Lleyn(Llyn) Peninsula, with lovely views.

This is a lovely old farmhouse that “oozes” that feel good factor we all need these days..It was my husbands family home – and it has many stories to tell. You can feel a special aura, a warm feeling of welcome as you step in to the large light and airy farmhouse kitchen. Wander through into the living room/second kitchen with it’s cream Aga set in an inglenook fireplace (with a TV and DVD player hidden away in an old built-in cupboard). Relax on the sofas with a cup of tea or get out the wine!

The comfortable lounge has two leather 3 – seater sofas and two leather easy chairs, TV and DVD player, CD player with MP3 connection port, and an electric or open fire (initial supply of coal/wood provided).

There is a utility room with 9kg washing machine, 6kg tumble dryer, small freezer, iron and Belfast sink with plenty of hanging/drying space for your walking or sailing gear.

The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, large larder fridge, microwave, large single oven and induction hob, a huge table and a Welsh dresser.

There is a downstairs twin bedded room with a shower room next door.

Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms – 1 king, 1 double, 1 single, 1 bunk, 1 family (double and single bed).

There are 2 bathrooms upstairs one having a luxurious whirlpool type bath – ideal for aching limbs after walking the Lleyn Coastal Path. The second has a large shower and bath.

There are many features that contribute to the special atmosphere of this old farmhouse – the Welsh dresser, the old inglenook, but my favourite would have to be the original old floor planks that have been reclaimed and used as bedroom partitions in one area upstairs – stunning!

There is a large enclosed lawned garden with a 14ft trampoline, football goal, gas BBQ and picnic table, plus safe parking on an area of slate chips.

It has been lovingly furnished and decorated throughout – with some original furniture that’s been passed down with the house for generations, auction finds, quality reproduction pieces and welcoming colours on a neutral background.

I would say that this house is smiling – so come and stay, and let this lovely old farmhouse on the beautiful Lleyn(Llyn) Peninsula energize you for your life’s challenges.

DIRECTIONS

From Pwllheli take the A499 towards Abersoch. At the village of Llanbedrog take a turning to the right up a steep hill onto the B4413. Stay on this road through the villages of Mynytho and Botwnnog.

As you leave Botwnnog passing the primary school on your right, you will be able to see Bodnitho in the near distance on the left hand side. Before you reach the brow of the hill coming out of the village turn down the farm lane on the left hand side.

Park on the slate chip area in the garden.
